The normal distribution is an important family of continuous probability distributions.
It is also known as Gaussian distribution.
Normal distribution
arise when measuring many naturally-occurring variables such as
heights of people or lengths of leaves on a tree. When the measurements
are grouped in small class intervals the resulting histogram has
a characteristic bell shape. This is called normal distribution
curve.
